amal: sexy girl
amal: hi bye
Graham: Capt Scott - you might be interested to note that wood fuel burning is actually carbon nuetral, unlike fossil fuel produced electricity and gas. Cheers, Graham
capt scott: CONGRATULATIONS !!. You have won First Prize for The Scruffiest and Untidiest Site in Essex. It is so badly managed that "THE ANT" needs to shed some of his surplus energy in sorting it out. No its not cleaner than our streets.Where's your carbon footprint. Burning wood and belching out smoke
Grym: Hi, I'm using Parklife as a part of my A level communications course, chosing to promote it and make students aware of the issues around the park for a project - I was wondering if anybody from the camp would be available as an 'expert' that is, someone I can show my posters/t shirts ect promoting the cause to and gather feedback from them? It's entirely non profit, just ot make people aware ofthe cause and hopefully get me a good grade for my exam! :) I tried emailing but as mentioned by a few
pylon: BTW, one offensive comment was posted from the same IP as Fitzy.
pylon: Offensive comments have been removed. If you want to criticise then keep it clean. Offensive comments were all posted from the same 2 IP addresses : 86.132.98.138 and 85.12.80.1 (this is a school in Southend)
stott: up date on the camp please the last up date was on the 16th jan .07
Charlotte Dove: Heya, how's everything going? Anything new happening? Keep up the good work!xxx
timmy: oh go shove it graham
Graham: As usualinteresting that the so called 'critics' don't have the courage of their convictions to leave valid email addresses...
Fitzy: Hi you lot! Just want to say good luck and when i can im there for you!
Capt Scott: now that you are the unlawful custodians of some old warlords burial site it would be incimbent upon you to tidy up the site by cutting the grass, disposing of the excess vegetation and weeds and maling the site more presentable. You do very little else apart from moan and winge. An on site hairdressers would not come amiss-moreso as you are a scruffy load of environmental outcasts this planet has bno time for. Why not go back to thhe old woods on Wood Avenue, Hockley where your presence caused
dan , age 14: i think widening the road will make journeys more difficult because of the bridge at the top. But maybe people think like that if Camp Bling wasnt such an eye saw. My friends tut at the state of the place. Tidy it up and then you will get loads more people on your side. You may beleive strongly about your case but that doesnt give you the right to make it look like a tip
stott: sorry to hear the bad news about last sunday .. hope you saved the trees , am thinkind of you lot ever day . ps hi to jag
Jaq: Hi all, Camp Bling will be holding a Mayday ceremony to celebrate the festival of Beltane, the official beginning of summer, join us at 7.30 for 8.00pm start,Tuesday 1st May. bring your greenery and spring blossom, or better still wear it! All welcome.

jaq: Hi all, Camp Bling will be holding the first tea party of 2007 on Sunday 1st April from 2.pm all welcome ! - We will also be in the high street on Sunday with our regular infomation stall pop by and pick up a resources sheet to see what you can do to help stop this road.
jaq: Hi Graham, didn't take it as a criticism in any way at all, I think the only good to come out of all this is a general feeling amonst the public that the council does not consult locals or care about the environment at all. Hopefully people will now have a better understanding of why we have taken protection of the land into our own hands , we can only hope!
Graham: Hi jaq, I realised that, wasn't intending to criticise Bling, just fuming taht whilst the public's attention is focussed on you folks the council can have the audacity to butcher even more trees without a word of protest, because, as you say, nobody knew about it...
jaq: Hi Charlotte, we will be starting the Tea Parties again soon, amongst other events, so watch this space! x Graham, The Gunners massacre was a fine example of local democracy in practice, i.e. nobody was consulted so nobody new until they walked their dogs and noticed something was a miss....... x
Charlotte Dove: is there anything planned in the new future? xxx
Graham: Whilst supporting Cap Bling and all it stands for, its a shame that these trees were lost with no outcry at all, did anybody ebven know it was planned? All to build a road to sevice the yuppy housing estate at the old Garrison...
JAQ: We will have a Parklife stall in the town centre on Saturday 3rd March, pop by and see what YOU can do to help stop this road.
Mandy: last night was brilliant, we will beat this road plan!
squersh: hi all, see you tomorrow 6.30pm on the steps at Southend Civic Cente. remember IT's NOT OVER and we need your help x

Pylon: Web site update! Even a YouTube video! And some nice new piccies.
Charlotte Dove: see you all at the bling tomorrow! my first visit!
Graham: Click the link for indymedia coverage. Has anyone got any photos or video footage that could laos be uploaded to Indymedia? Its easily done, just add to the 'submit additions/comments' button and follow the instructions...

I know it's truly rotten of me to come along now after you've all been through such a lot for this, but if you ever require the help of a 14 year old girl, I would be more than willing to do anything I can to help! Could I maybe come down to the site some time soon? Also, could I put an article about Priory Park into our school newspaper, in a small attempt to raise awareness? If there is ANYTHING I could do to help, please ema

squersh: hi Rob G, if you'd like to help out, please just come down to the site and meet the crew. be good to see you down there!squersh
Graham: Hi pylon, can you pass on to Adrian that I'm still keen to do a permaculture course ith you folks down at camp Bling but for some reason the email addy he gave me bounces my messages back - if I don't hear anything I'll assume you arn't up for it anymore???
Pylon: I have deleted a deeply offensive entry by Roadbuilder. He lives in Southend and has a Blueyonder broadband connection - I won't put any more info on here, but I do have more. Maybe he would like to meet some of the residents and decide for himself what we are.
gail: hi you guys will ask around hope you are all ok love and hugs xxxxxxxxxx
squersh: hey people, this is a request going out from the Bling for building materials and supplies. In particular we need 4"x2" beams, joists, floorboards, (clean) carpet, sheet and scrap metal, scaffolding (inc clips and brackets), plus combustible materials (wood/coal). if you can help us out that would be lovely ta, squersh XXX

Decision Time...Nearly

Dear Parklifers,

A quick campaign update for you:

As you might be aware from today's press coverage, a Government announcement was made yesterday concerning provision of funding for a number of transport schemes across the country.

We expected a decision to be made and the outcome announced for Priory Crescent and the proposed F5 road widening, but this is still not the case. The outcome is still undecided, pending review of the cost increase from an initially agreed £3.5m in December 2000, to a budgeted figure of £25m to be released from 2011 onwards, IF the go ahead is given (as we understand it).

This figure of course does not include the money needed to evict Camp Bling, and again as we understand the process, the sum for eviction and the then ongoing site security would have to be provided by the local authority. The last comparable eviction was at Dalkeith Country Park near Edinburgh in January, this cost £1.5m in total to remove 30 people over a 10 day period.

So we have everything still to play for, yesterday's news - and a lack of a decision on F5 - is still positive, and certainly not a step backwards at this stage.

In an effort to keep the campaign moving, continue building public support, and prepare Bling for any coming eviction whether legal or illegal - we wont become complacent at this stage - a number of activities have been initiated, or are planned for the coming weeks.

The first of these is the Camp Bling 'Beat the Bulldozer' pledge, aimed at signing up people for call up pending the eviction situation. This is available at the camp, on our street stalls, and hopefully online sometime soon.

Other events include:

Camp Bling 'Energy Rising' ceremony - From Sunset tonight (Friday 7th July) at Camp Bling. Join us for a ceremony to send us out on a positive note for the next phase of the campaign.

Parkstall - from 11.00am Saturday 8th July, under the bridge, Southend high street. Help us to collect letters of support for the campaign, and against the road.

Picnic in the Park - from 6.00pm Friday 14th July, Priory Park, in the area behind the main gates. Join us to celebrate the formal opening of Priory Park in 1920 - don't forget to bring a picnic!

Camp Bling 'Energy Grounding' ceremony - From 2pm Saturday 15th July at Camp Bling. Join us for the afternoon to call on the spirits of the site to protect it. Make prayer feathers, ribbons to add to our wish tree, plus other craft ideas to be decided. Bring something special to you (flowers/crafts/other) if you can, to place on the boundary of the site.

Parkmeeting - 7.30pm Wednesday 19th July, at The Golden Lion (back meeting room), Victoria Avenue, Prittlewell. Join us for a campaign update.

'The Bling Tea Party' - from 2.00pm till late Sunday 6th August at Camp Bling. Visit the site to meet the crew, have tea, and take a tour.

Five years on and we can still win. It's been life changing...
